Changes are coming to a busy stretch of road in Vincennes this week.
Starting Monday night, milling and paving will begin on Hart Street between Veterans Drive at McDonald's and 15th Street at Huck's.
This section of Hart Street will close at 9:00pm each night and reopen at 6:00am until Thursday morning.
Additionally, this stretch will be converted from a four-lane road to a two-lane road with a center turn lane and bike lanes on each side.
City leaders believe these changes will make Hart Street safer and improve traffic flow.
How do you feel about the changes coming to Hart Street?
I support the change to two-lanes and addition of bike lanes
I do not support the change. Keep it the way it is.
Once this section is completed, work will begin on milling and paving Hart Street between Veterans Drive and Richard Bauer Drive.
Kimmell Road, from Hart Street to Ford Road, will also be milled and repaved.
Paving for these sections will take place during the overnight hours, but the roads will not be closed
