VPD Warns of Vehicle Thefts/Break-Ins

The Vincennes Police Department is warning residents to make sure vehicles are locked and not left unattended while running following a busy month of vehicle thefts and break-ins.


According to the Vincennes Police Department, since November 1st, officer's have taken 9 stolen vehicle complaints and 27 reports of vehicles being broken into. 3 of those break ins include stolen fire arms.


To avoid "becoming a statistic", officers recommend taking valuables out of your car and locking your doors and to never leave your car running while unattended.
