A Knox County man was arrested on multiple charges following the theft of a vehicle.
A call was made to the Vincennes Police Department Monday afternoon around 1:55pm regarding a stolen 2014 Jeep Cherokee.
Within an hour of receiving the call, police located the stolen vehicle, driven by Nicholas Anthis, at the intersection of Willow Street and Emison. As police were attempting to pull Anthis over, he sped off.
Anthis eventually stopped at 12th and Broadway Street. The vehicle crashed into a fence and Anthis fled on foot. Anthis was caught after he broke our a window and made entry into a house in the area.
Anthis was arrested and charged with Burglary, resisting law enforcement, resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, vehicle theft, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a legand drug, residential entry, driving while suspended prior, criminal mischief and reckless driving.
