Traffic Stop on Highway 41 Ends with Driver Arrested on Drug Charges

DECKER, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - A traffic stop on Thursday ended with one person behind bars.
A K9 deputy with the Knox County Sheriff's Office was monitoring traffic on Highway 41 near Decker around 2:00pm when a vehicle sped by at 90 mph.
The deputy pulled over the driver, identified as 46-year-old Cary Lee Keller.
According to the sheriff’s office, Keller had no insurance or vehicle registration, and the car smelled of burnt marijuana.
The deputy and his K9 partner searched the vehicle, uncovering methamphetamine and a smoking device inside.
Keller was arrested and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Paraphernalia.
Keller remains in custody without bond, pending a parole violation hearing.
