Traffic Stop in Vincennes Leads to Woman’s Arrest on Drug-Related Charges

VINCENNES, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - A traffic stop Friday morning led to the arrest of a Lawrence County, Illinois, woman on multiple charges.


An Indiana State Police trooper pulled over a Dodge Journey near 2nd and Buntin Street in Vincennes after noticing it was missing a front bumper.


During the stop, the 37-year-old woman, whose name was not released, showed signs of impairment and failed field sobriety tests.


A roadside test conducted by the trooper indicated the presence of amphetamines and methamphetamine in her system.


A search of the vehicle uncovered multiple smoking devices with residue and several unused syringes.


One syringe contained a substance believed to be methamphetamine.


The woman was booked into the Knox County Jail and charged with possession of a syringe, possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, resisting law enforcement, and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
