Traffic Stop in Vincennes Leads to Drug Investigation, Arrest

VINCENNES, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - Another traffic stop in Knox County has resulted in a man being taken into custody on drug-related charges.
A deputy with the Knox County Sheriff’s Office pulled over a vehicle driven by 53-year-old Roger McClure at the intersection of Hart Street and Kimmell Road in Vincennes on Monday evening after he allegedly made an illegal U-turn.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies had received multiple complaints alleging that McClure and his wife were involved in drug activity at a storage unit.
During the stop, a K9 unit indicated the presence of illegal substances inside the vehicle.
Deputies reported finding suspected methamphetamine, small plastic baggies, a digital scale with suspected methamphetamine residue, and a prescription bottle containing medication that was not prescribed to McClure.
Deputies later obtained a search warrant for McClure’s storage unit, where they reportedly discovered additional suspected methamphetamine.
McClure was taken to the Knox County Jail and is being held on a $5,000 bond.
The sheriff’s office stated that the case remains under investigation, with additional charges and arrests possible.
