A second Knox County resident has died as a result of COVID-19 today. There are currently 44 active cases, with one patient in the hospital.
Dr. Alan Stewart says local longterm care facilities are now affected. He says they are also seeing numerous tests now needed for school aged children. He is urging the community to practice social distancing and to follow mask protocols.
The total COVID-19 cases for Knox County is at 181.
