KNOX COUNTY, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - Around 600 residents in southeastern Knox County woke up without power on Thursday morning.
The outage, which was first reported around midnight, is affecting residents in Monroe City and Wheatland.
Duke Energy spokesperson Kurt Phegley told WAKC News Now that crews are actively working to restore power.
According to Phegley, a mobile substation is being brought in to assist with the restoration process.
Crews hope to have power restored by 3:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
According to Duke Energy’s outage map, the cause of the outage was an object that came into contact with power lines.
