Monroe City Deals with Water Main Break; Boil Order in Effect

MONROE CITY, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - A water main break is impacting many in Monroe City.

According to the Town of Monroe City's Facebook page, the break occurred around 11:30 Sunday night near Johnson Street and 2nd Street.

A temporary fix restored water to customers by 3:30 Monday afternoon.

However, water will be shut off again at 8:30 Tuesday morning for a permanent repair.

Johnson Street, from 2nd to 3rd Street, will also be temporarily closed.

Residents are under a boil order until further notice.
