Knox County Man Arrested for Cutting Fiber Optic Wire, Drug Possession

MONROE CITY, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - A Knox County man was arrested following reports of a suspicious vehicle at a communications tower near Monroe City.


Around 2:30pm on Tuesday, Knox County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to 9251 East State Road 61.


There, they discovered 57-year-old Brian Pinkstaff actively cutting fiber optic wire.


Authorities arrested Pinkstaff at the scene and, during the arrest, found illegal drugs in his possession.


Pinkstaff is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Theft, Possession of Cocaine and Criminal Mischief.


Pinkstaff remains in custody on a $5,000 bond.
