Joining Forces to Keep Those in Need Cool During the Heat Wave

VINCENNES, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - It may be hot in Knox County, but Duke Energy is helping residents stay cool.

On Wednesday, the Duke Energy Foundation donated $5,000 to the United Way of Knox County.

The United Way, along with other local partners, will use the funds to buy box fans.

The fans are being given to individuals and families in need by case managers who know them well.

Those who are in need of a fan can stop by the Margaret Compton Recovery House located at 509 North 7th Street in Vincennes.

A fan can be picked up on Friday between 8:30am and 4:00pm.

Fans are limited to one per family.
