A Facebook page created on Sunday, April 4 announced a Chick-fil-A was coming to Vincennes.
The page, which had almost 1,000 likes and over 1,000 shares before being deleted, claimed a Chick-fil-A restaurant would be coming to Kimmel Pointe next summer.
According to the announcement, the decision was made based off the success of the Chick-fil-A food truck that stopped in Vincennes last Monday.
While this announcement left many excited, some were left skeptical.
WAKC News left a message with Chick-fil-A Sunday night to confirm whether or not these plans were true.
At 10:00am Monday, a Chick-Fil-A representative confirmed that the Facebook page was fake and that there are no plans to open a Chick-Fil-A restaurant in Vincennes at this time.
The representative told WAKC News that Chick-fil-A is always looking to build and expand and those interested in having a Chick-fil-A restaurant in their community should call Chick-fil-A at 1-866-232-2040.
