Good Samaritan Hospital Approves 2025 Budget with Wage Increases and Service Expansion

VINCENNES, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - The Board of Governors at Good Samaritan Hospital has approved the budget for 2025.

As part of this budget, the hospital will allocate $3.9 million for merit-based wage increases for its staff.

Caregivers will receive a 4% pay raise, effective in April 2025, based on their performance evaluations.

The budget also prioritizes revenue growth, with expectations of increased outpatient visits and the implementation of cost-management strategies.

This growth is anticipated to be driven in part by the addition of new orthopedic spine and neurology services in late 2024.

Additionally, Good Samaritan plans to invest in a geriatric psychiatry unit and introduce bariatric surgery later in the year.

Officials have confirmed that there will be no increase in patient rates for 2025.
