Bladis Gamaliel Rivas-Viera

Bladis Gamaliel Rivas-Viera (10/03/1995 - 05/13/2022)

Bladis Gamaliel Rivas-Viera, 26, passed away at 11:25 pm on May 13, 2022. Bladis known as "Chaparro" to his friends was born on October 3, 1995 in Tuxpan, Mexico. He was the son of Valentin Rivas Orozco and Maria Mirella Viera Torres.

Bladis worked in many capacities for Mouzin Farms and was very dependable in everything he did. He was a very likeable and friendly guy and was unlike anybody his friends have ever known. He was always happy and smiling, anyone who met him, liked him. Whenever anyone was sad or upset, he would always make silly faces or do silly dances to make his friends laugh. He was an amazing friend with the biggest heart, and there is no room big enough that Blas' heart cannot fill. He will always be in our hearts and in our minds, and he will forever be missed.

Survivors include his wife, Wendy Guadalupe Velez Galvan; his son, Valentin Guadalupe Rivas Velez; his mother, Maria Mirella Viera Torres; and his father, Valentin Rivas Orozco.

Friends of Bladis may pay their respects to him from 1:00 pm until the hour of service time of 2:00 pm on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at the housing facility which is his residence located at 3609 S. Lower Hart Street Road, Vincennes, IN 47591. Rev. Juan Ramirez will celebrate the funeral mass beginning at 2:00 pm and Bladis will be laid to rest in his home country of Mexico at a date to be determined.
