Knox County Comes Together to Help Injured TeenI



Avery Parish, the Knox County student injured after accidentally being shot in the chest.

Residents and businesses across Knox County are coming together to help the family of South Knox student Avery Pond, the Knox County teenager who is currently hospitalized after accidentally being shot in the chest last weekend.

Tri State Printing and Embroidery and Country Fun Day Care in Vincennes are asking residents and businesses for donations for a silent auction that will be held on Facebook. Those interested in helping are asked to drop donations by Saturday, April 13th at either Tri-State Printing and Embroidery located at 24 North 1st Street in Vincennes or at Country Fun Day Care located at 505 South Anson Road in Vincennes.

Swirls in Vincennes has also set up a tip jar and will be donating 100% of profits made today, Wednesday, April 10th, towards Avery’s medical expenses. 


Mads and Abby Boutique will donate 50% of all sales on Saturday, April 13th to Avery’s family. 

Knox County resident Tiffany Heath is currently taking orders for 'Avery Strong' bracelets.  The bracelets will cost $2.00 each and all proceeds made will be given directly to the family. If you are interested in ordering one, you can message Heath on Facebook or call or text 812-890-3880.

Monetary donation’s can also be made through a Go Fund Me page that was set up by a relative of the family by clicking here.

According to a statement on the Go Fund Me page, Avery remains in the ICU at a hospital in Indianapolis. The family asks that you continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this time.
