Vincennes City Police Detectives have arrested 33 year old Ryan A.J. Shreve of Vincennes in connection with 2 previously unsolved violent crimes which occurred in late September of 2011.
The 2 cases involved were an Armed Robbery attempt at a Vincennes business and another case involving Home-Intruder Assault by an unknown assailant which occurred inside a Vincennes residence.
Both cases were opened to further investigation when physical evidence from each was able to be tested and results indicated a correlation between them which implicated a person of interest previously questioned by Detectives.
Shreve is charged with Attempted Armed Robbery: a Class B Felony, Criminal Confinement using a deadly weapon: a Class B Felony and Battery: a Class A Misdemeanor in the first case and Attempted Armed Robbery: a Class B Felony, Criminal Confinement using a deadly weapon: a Class B Felony and Battery: a Class A Misdemeanor in the second case.
Shreve was booked into the Knox County Jail and held on a $50,000.00 cash only bond.
