Celebrating Christmas in Vincennes

It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas around Vincennes. This weekend kicks off the holiday celebrations.

On Friday, November 17th starting at 6:30, will be the annual Parade of Lights. Once the parade is finished, kids will be able to visit with Santa at the Thursday Church, located at 218 Main Street, until 9:00. Stores on Main Street will be open from 5:00-9:00 to serve refreshments.

Then, on Saturday, November 18, from 8:00am to 11:00am you'll be able to have breakfast with Santa at the Old Cathedral Parish Center located at 100 S. 3rd Street. You can purchase tickets for the breakfast at the door for $5.00. TAfter breakfast until 2:00, you'll be to take a carriage ride with Santa. The carriage rides are free and will load at the intersection of 5th and Main.

A recipe walk will also take place on Main Street from 11:00 to 4:00. During this time, you'll be able to go to different merchants and taste test different foods and get the full recipes for the samples.
